Building Privacy Into IoT Design: Meeting the Legal Challenge
Abstract:
The concept of Privacy By Design will guide this workshop as we examine the legal requirements relating to privacy and IOT. We will review Canadian, US and the soon to be implemented updated European legal requirements around privacy, as it applies to IOT and product design.
We will review several case studies to examine how technical design needs to consider the legal privacy requirements. This will be an interactive discussion, encouraging participants to discuss the privacy implications in the case studies.
