On September 29-30, 2016 the IoT613 conference was held at the Canadian Museum of Nature. It featured a full day of technical workshops, an evening networking social, a full day speaker series, and interactive demo booths throughout.
The two unique workshops offered something for everyone: an exercise in the design of a smart hotel room using IoT sensors and data analysis for the more technically oriented, and a business workshop helping participants prepare their IoT project for success with seminars ranging from evaluating ideas all the way through distribution and sales.
Alexa, where was the fun at IoT613? At the Amazon Alexa Networking Social! In partnership with Amazon Alexa, IoT613 hosted an evening networking session featuring two stand-up comedians, prizes, food and a cash bar.
Finally, our outstanding speaker series was divided into three sessions: Smart Community Through IoT, IoT Privacy & Security, and IoT Platforms. Each session featured 3-4 expert speakers and was highlighted by a 15-20 minute Q&A session, so the audience had chance to interact with our panel. Bookended by fascinating opening and closing keynotes, the event was well received by all in attendance!
